THE BHS ALUMNI ORGANIZATION INVITES ALL WHO GRADUATED FROM BOULDER HIGH, REGARDLESS OF YEAR OF GRADUATION, TO JOIN US. Membership requires only an interest in connecting with former BHS grads while furthering the opportunities of the grads of today. We strive to keep in touch socially with former BHS friends while working diligently to provide scholarship funds for current deserving graduating seniors. As always, all are invited to a monthly brunch gathering at 11:00 a.m. at The Buff Restaurant on the first Thursday of each month. This is a casual order-off-the-menu gathering. The group varies in number in attendance, but is never short on high school stories and recollections!

Twelve applicants submitted applications for the Vintage Panthers Scholarships to be awarded in 2019. Eight alumni from BHS classes ranging from 1943 to 1994 interviewed each of the students. Congratulations to Lila Gelband and Mitchell Anderson in being named this year's recipients. Lila developed and led the Black Student Alliance at Boulder High, reaching out to students who identify as Biracial, African American, or Black into one club. She volunteered both at Boulder High and in the local Latino community. She will be attending the University of Arizona. Mitchell has been a four-year member of the Model United Nations Club, an organization that provides simulation of international affairs and helps promote public speaking skills, negotiation, research abilities and knowledge of global politics. A National Honor Society member, he also is an active volunteer in the local community. Mitchell will be attending Carlton College in Northfield, Minnesota. This is just a brief glimpse of the achievements of Lila and Mitchell. We look forward to meeting them at the Annual Reunion and Scholarship Brunch.
The 28th annual brunch and business meeting was held on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at the Boulder Country Club. Alums from BHS classes of 1946 through this year's graduating class were present. We were excited to welcome the Class of '59 to the event and congratulate them on their 60th reunion. Principal Dr. James Hill and Assistant Principal Melissa Warfield joined the gathering. Dr. Hill spoke regarding the present new year at Boulder High highlighting the wide diversity of Boulder High students and the opportunities to learn from one another. He also addressed the strong focus on attention and care for each individual, whether student, staff, or parent. Scholarship recipients, Mitchell Anderson and Lila Gelband, spoke of their Boulder High experiences and gave insight to their personal future plans and goals.
