THE BHS ALUMNI ORGANIZATION INVITES ALL WHO GRADUATED FROM BOULDER HIGH, REGARDLESS OF YEAR OF GRADUATION, TO JOIN US. Membership requires only an interest in connecting with former BHS grads while furthering the opportunities of the grads of today. We strive to keep in touch socially with former BHS friends while working diligently to provide scholarship funds for current deserving graduating seniors. As always, all are invited to a monthly brunch gathering at 11:00 a.m. at The Buff Restaurant on the first Thursday of each month. This is a casual order-off-the-menu gathering. The group varies in number in attendance, but is never short on high school stories and recollections and old Boulder!
FOR ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS, MORE INFORMATION OR SUGGESTIONS,
Eight graduating seniors were interviewed for the 2018 scholarship awards. They all were very accomplished and well spoken; we wish we could have given a $3500 scholarship to each of them.
The two winners were: Ruth Efe and Nick McCabe.
Ruth will be attending Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California in the fall. She was instrumental in starting the online OWL which had not been in production for a few years. She also participates on a Water Polo team, volunteers at the Boulder Public Library, has interned with the Boulder Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Nick will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison this fall. He was one of the first members of the BHS Fly Fishing Club, a member of Student Council (putting on the first Talent Show in 20 years), has played soccer for BHS for 4 years, has volunteered for Boulder County Open Space, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
As you can see these are very accomplished seniors!!! We hope to be able to continue to award scholarships for many years to come.

The 27th annual brunch and business meeting was held on August 19, 2018, at the Boulder Country Club. The event was attended by many who gathered to share a common bond and lasting memories. Those attending represented classes spanning from the mid '40's to our newest Vintage Panthers representing the Class of 2018. The special guests of the day were scholarship honorees, Ruth Efe and Nick McCabe, along with their parents and family. Both Ruth and Nick expressed gratitude for their scholarships and gave their next-step plans. Dr. James Hill, principal at Boulder High School, spoke with the group about today's Boulder High School and its goals, challenges and successes. Jean Bonelli gave a presentation relating to the plan that is underway to develop an historical exhibition of the first hundred years of Boulder High School; as State Preparatory School 1875-1935, and as Boulder High School 1935-1976.
Event attendees took the mic to share meaningful memories from their years at Boulder High School. The event closed with a rousing rendition of the BHS fight song, "We're loyal to you, Boulder High. . ."
